JULY PROGRAMS ADULTS & TEENS GRADES 9+

Wednesday, July 5 Free Beginning/ intermediate Computer Class from 2:00-3:00. The free class answers your questions on computer and technology related devices. Bring your lap top, camera, phone… or use one of the library’s lap tops.

Wednesday, July 12 Walk with the Librarians 8:30 am -9:30 am. Each Wednesday Walk has a different theme. This week: Trees. Led by arborist and horticulturist, Douglas Paul. Meet at O’Gara Park (99 Valley St, Spencer, MA) Walkers leave promptly at 8:30 am.

Thursday, July 13  Shirley McAfee in Concert from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. This talented musician and singer will entertain us with a wide array of styles including pop, show tunes, blues, gospel and more! Adults (Grades 9+) are invited to join us for this free concert on the Richard Sugden Library’s Main Floor, Spencer. Sponsor: Friends of the Richard Sugden Library.

Monday, July 17 Paint Beach Rocks! Adults (Grades 9+) Drop-in from 10:00 – 12:00. Paint positive words, thoughts, phrases, & pictures on beach rocks using acrylic paints. All supplies are provided.  Paint rocks for our Kindness Garden! Help us build a better world!

Wednesday, July 19 Walk with the Librarians 8:30 am -9:30 am. Each Wednesday Walk has a different theme. This week: To Be Announced  Meet at                           Walkers leave promptly at 8:30 am.

 

Thursday, July 20 Adults (Ages High School+) Create Fused Glass Pendants from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Create your own dichroic fused glass pendants with colorful pre-cut glass in this easy, fun class. Participants create 1”x 1” pendants at the class. The pendants are put in a kiln and returned to the library (approx. 2 weeks). Space is limited.  Registration is required.

Thursday, July 27 Cookbook Creations: What’s Cooking? Cookbooks that inspire mouthwatering recipes! Participants make a recipe with the ingredient: BERRIES & bring the dish to share at the program from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Cookbooks located at Library Main Desk, use your favorite recipe, or use recipes from internet. Registration required.
